Delete your account

You can delete your Fizzmap account at any time, in the app or by emailing us. Fizzmap is provided by INOVATIK GmbH.

Delete it in the app

1. Open Fizzmap and go to the “Profile” tab.
2. Tap the gear icon. It opens “Settings”.
3. Scroll all the way down to the “Account” section and tap “Delete account”.
4. Tap “Continue” and confirm the account is yours with your password, with Apple or with Google.
5. Type “DELETE” and tap “Delete Account”.

The app then signs you out. We hide your account right away.

Delete it without the app

Don't have the app any more? Email us: support@inovatik.de

• Write from the email address of your Fizzmap account, or tell us which address it is.
• Before we delete your account, we check that it is yours.
• We handle your request within one month.

What we delete

Along with your account, we permanently delete:

• Your profile with all personal details, your profile picture and your sign-in details
• Your check-ins, drinks and photos, including those you added to other people's check-ins
• Your friendships, reactions and notifications
• Your Fizz progress, the venues you've visited and the ones you follow
• Your data exports and their download links
• Your venue owner roles and your venue claims, including the proof you uploaded

What we keep

Some data stays stored after the deletion:

• Shared check-ins: A check-in of yours that other people joined stays for them permanently, with their photos and drinks. We delete your photos, drinks and notes from it. It shows “Deleted account” instead of your name.
• Community contributions: Venues you added and your suggestions for venues and districts stay permanently. They are no longer linked to your name.
• Reports: Reports you filed, or that concern your account, stay stored to keep the platform safe. They only point to an anonymized profile.
• Anonymous counts: For example, how many check-ins a venue has in total. They stay permanently.
• Your venue's photo: A photo you uploaded for your venue as its owner stays with the venue.
• Your sign-in ID: The technical ID of your deleted sign-in stays stored permanently, with no connection to your profile. It keeps the deleted account from being created again by mistake.
• Error reports: Reports the app sent to our error tracking service Sentry while you were signed in can contain this technical ID. They stay there until the service's retention period ends.

How long it takes

When you delete your account in the app:

• Right away: We hide your account. Nobody else can see it any more.
• Within 30 days: You can cancel the deletion: sign in to the app again and tap “Keep My Account”.
• After 30 days: We delete your account for good. This can't be undone.
